Mystery Readers

Shhhhh!!!!

Every Friday you will have the opportunity to sign up to read to your child's class.  

We are so excited to offer this wonderful volunteer opportunity-time to sign up to read a book for your kindergartener.

• Before your mystery reader day, please text or email us with three facts about yourself that your child knows so we can ask the class questions to guess who is the mystery reader.

• Come to the classroom at 1:10. Please ensure the class does not see you because they will be guessing who the mystery reader is. 

• We will try and do the reading outside in the outdoor classroom, weather permitting.

• Bring 2 or 3 books to read. You might be able to read all or just one, depending on the time. Preferably a book that your child likes; he/she will be sitting next to you when you read the book.

• Kids like animated stories, so anything they can interact with is great. Try not to get stories that are too wordy.

• Kids will probably ask questions about the story or their pet rocks; it's Ok that is what they do.

• Kids will also be wiggly; again, it's OK; that is what they do. 

• Mystery Readers are not limited to parents (i.e. grandparents, older siblings, aunts, uncles, special friends, etc.)

• If you are not reading and doing a talent, please keep it a mystery too. In addition, let us know how we can facilitate the time for you.
